Earlier today i got the sudden urge after reading these forums to make up some TC as i thought i had everything but the juice. Anyway first i found my DJ looked at damn its still got krausen from last year some time

1. I happened upon a pack of high strength Youngs wine yeast(with nutrients) the thing is its been sat at the bottom of a fermentation bucket since last year will it still be good to go?
2. I picked up 4 litres of apple and elderflower from tesco only to discover when i got back that it had Potassium Sorbate in it, is there a way to get rid of it? I did come across this:
Would this work? I happen to have pectolase (if thats the stuff you put in jams)Any of the "proper" preservatives need to be driven off with heat and then you'd need to hit the must with plenty of pectolase before fermenting it!
3 One last thing is it possible to use bleach to sterilise things???
Thanks.
