how much juice should i expect

how much juice should i expect

can anybody tell me approx how many pears i will need for a 5 gallon pear cider brew???

If I remember right my young perry tree produced sacks of pears last year and that made 5 gallons.

They were 25 kilo animal feed sacks, so I should think they must have had 30 to 35lbs of pears in each one. They were chopped up and pressed by a cider making friend.
