I have bought a beaverdale wine kit from a brew shop in st helens.
Its brewing now, and the gal who sold it to me says its a really nice quality wine. I bought the Gewurztrraminer, o her personal preference its not what she liked although it does sell well and sounds like what i want to drink.
Just wondered how many people drink the beaverdale , if there is any brewing comments, and how long is acceptable to leave it honestly!! I cant wait to try it!
The shop i got it from was on the north road st helens, maybe there is better shops,i dont know or care but im well happy buying from them!

Re: beaverdale wine
I've done a few Beaverdales, which I've really enjoyed. They do really taste better after aging, especially the reds - which I leave for at least 3 months. You can obviously try them earlier! But when you get to the last few, you'll wish you left more of them for longer! That's fine though because you can just brew more to build up your supplies....!

SWMBO makes from these, and the whites are the best of what she has made so far. As previous poster - the reds do take a while to come into their flavours.
Generally make 5 1/2 bottles from the kit, and use the 1/2 as a taster.

Needs more Cowbell.

I've been brewing Beverdale kits for a while now and can vouch for their quality. The reds definately improve with age but the white are good young. My favorite is the Pinot Grigio, which if you like Pinots is really nice. It's light a refreshing and has never given me a hangover!!
The 30 bottle kits work out much better value for money than the 6's and I brew them in the same FV's I use for my beer.

the kit i am drinking now is your drink it quick type one, i forget the name that was £25, its nice but im really looking forward to the beaveradle. Maybe i should have not thought ok ill like this german style one as i havnt had this type of wine before, but i cant wait!
There is also a kit they do that is £70, i cant remember the name of it, but the gal says that i should brew a bit first, good advice, but that is making me wait longer

Re: beaverdale wine
Ok can I hijack for a little while, plaese
When I started brewing 20 odd yrs ago I used to make wine kits, it was grand at that stage ( got you pissed)
I got back to brewing a year or so ago and at this stage am very happy with my all grain beer.
I threw together a wine kit when I started back first a 40euro California connoiser merlot, supposed to be a good kit.
Well it brought back all the memories, tasted just like a wine kit used to, like a kit.
Now in the last 20 yrs I drank a lot of red wine, take the booze cruise to France to stock up on cheap desent French red.
Do kit wines ever taste of anything other than kit wines ?

Re: beaverdale wine
i think i know what you mean about the taste of a wine kit, but at £1.20 a bottle, its cheep enough that if it tastes nice as a kkit, that will do me fine
Im going to taste my beaverdale shortly
