Lidl's Vitafit Apple Juice - half price this weekend only

Hi all,

I've just spotted that this is on half price special offer, but only for Saturday and Sunday, 18/19th December.

A 1.5 litre pack for £0.42p! The offer seems to be nationwide but it might be worthwhile visiting the Lidl site and inputting your postcode to avoid disappointment.

It's been a while since I last tried making cider from it but I'll probably pick up enough to do a 20 litre batch.

I seem to recall that last time this was on offer, the cloudy, not from concentrate, juice followed a few weeks later. That's the one to watch out for in my opinion but each to his own.

Can I ask what the method is for cider with the LIdl apple juice?

my recipe is:
10l of Vitafit (Lidl) applejuice
1 jar of Morrisonns value honey @ 67p a jar
! tsp of yeast nuterient
1 tsp of wine yeast

ferment to dry (hydro reading of 1.000 or less)
Bottle with 1/2 a tsp of sugar for a dry cider

For a sweet cider, I kill the fermentation with potasium sorbate and a campdem tablet, add more apple juice, and keg it and add co2 from a canister.

I stopped at Lidls on the way home and bought 15L of juice. So I'll adapt your recipe for that quantity. I hadn't thought about dry V sweet. I use Asda sweetener in ginger beer. I'll maybe try that if I don't like it dry.
