Of course you might just use one to provide distilled water for your starsan... 
Having looked at them out of curiosity I was surprised how expensive they are, then a little alarmed about how many instructions for home made stills there are on the internet...
Not my kind of thing though. I'm wary enough of a 3KW burco plugged into the mains for 2 hours so the risk of blowing myself up with flammable vapours/ liquids is not worth it...

Sorry, had to lock this one. The forum policy on discussing distilling is that there is no discussion on distilling what with it being illegal without the appropriate approvals.
