John Bull Cider Kit

I am due to start this kit and was wondering if I could add a BKE to the FV? My last cider was a Samson kit and it was bloody awful.It was started in an Fv then transferred to a pressure varrel.It tasted like flat white wine.Don't know what went wrong?

Cider is better bottled if you want it fizzy, I wouldn't add BKE to a cider kit as it contains malt and you don't want malt in cider, if you use1 kilo of brewing sugar and decrease the final volume to 20 litres you will get a nicer apply cider as cider kits tend to be a bit watery.
