About to try Mungtons Stout ( should be good ). Been settling for a couple of months.

Sometimes drinking Mungtons Premium Lager ( when I have to ). Good grog, but not my scene.

I have an old H.E.Brewer book here somewhere, I've not done them yet but his wine recipes seem bang on, I'll have a look at typing one up for you later.

 My Rhubarb wine has always been green! Why is the stuff in the link above
glorious ruby red? Am i doing something dreadfully wrong?

I liked the taste of my green stuff, I made it fizzy like a champagne rather than a wine
but that would not have changed the colour!

Adding sulphite (campden tablets) has quite an effect on the colour of rhubarb wine, making it less red and more green. Some say it also changes the flavour, eliminating the rhubarb-like taste.

That's great Eionmag

I will look forward to that.

I always thought Rhubarb wine was a pinkish/red colour.
Never heard of it being green, what is this world coming to when you can't even trust yer wine to come out right. Ha ho. :D
