Weird drink of the week - PULQUE

Post by Reg » Wed May 04, 2005 10:46 am

http://www.ianchadwick.com/tequila/pulque.html.

Made from "Agave" type succulent plants - a relative of the cactus and the original recipe demanded a bag of human faeces!!!

Maybe I'll stick to the stout! :D

I guess there can be worse things, I do seem to remember that some other South American drinks are made by rendering the ingredients down with spit altough I cannot seem to find anything about this on the net... :D

Didn't the Aztecs make their alcoholic drinks with spit? They used to all spit in the brew every day for about a week.
