"Brammle".......

When I heard mention of Brammle over at gotmead, I had to look it up.

Turns out it's a much lesser known liqueur from Scotland, which is basically just whiskey and blackberries.

I don't have a recipe as such, so I'm starting some by just using 1 litre of scotch and 500 grammes of blackberries. Once the colour/flavour of the black berries has been extracted by the scotch, I'll sweeten it using honey.

Not sure what it's supposed to actually taste like (only found it available for mail order), so I'll add the honey a little at a time and see how it comes out.

I've got 3 litres of scotch with 1.5kg of blackberries on the go at the moment. I figure that 1lb of honey should supply 150 grammes of honey per litre. Then I can taste it to see how it's getting on.........
