Schloer

Post by oldbloke » Fri Jun 01, 2012 10:37 am

Bored in Lidl last night I looked at the ingredients list on a bottle of Schloer.
Looks like it could be fermentable. Probably an expensive way to source juice though.
Anybody tried it?

Im sure it will :)

Probably wont hurt to give it a quick boil before you try fermenting it. So far i've managed to ferment mineral water  - Asda Strawberry & Vanilla stuff to be exact. Had enough natural fruit sugar from the flavouring in it to hit 3.1% ...

Check for ites and ates and if there are none pour a glass out, replace it with a few spoons of sugar, and half a sachet of wine yeast, top it with a balloon with a pinprick hole in it, stick it in a dark cuboard for 3 months, drink it.
