Where a recipe calls for grape concentrate, is there a rule of thumb for substitution with grape juice? The recipe I have in mind states 250ml of concentrate.

Does it also state how much water to add?
I've not fermented grape juice other than as part of a pyment, but I think I'd use grape juice in the amount of the batch size I want.
I'm just here for the beer.

'bout a litre of juice would be reasonable, but the winemakers concentrate is made from special wine grapes, rather than the dessert grapes used in carton juice. since you're only using it as a supplement though it probably wont matter too much
dazzled, doused in gin..

It will matter quite a lot... Wine made from red concentrate tastes like red wine, whereas wine law from red grape juice will not... It will taste like white with a red colour...

Thanks for the replies chaps, it's a gallon recipe. It's for a rhubarb recipe I saw. Interesting point about the grape juice v concentrate. I hadn't thought about that before
