I'm not a wine drinker and can't stand the stuff personally but mother and inlaws can get through it like water.
Can anyone recommend me a nice kit to start with. Preferably a 6 bottle one to start.
Through my limited research I found this one.

Also any recommendations on wheres good to buy from would help no end too.
Cheers
Can anyone recommend a starter kit? White Zinfandel?

They are okay. With wine kits you generally get what you pay for. Cal Con and Beverdale are good makes. Kenridge Classic are better but again more expensive. But if you can stretch to a 25lt brew here is a good recipe. 5lt Whit Grape Juice, 2lt Apple juice, 2lt Grapefruit, 1lt Pineapple. 5tsp pectolase, 5 tsp tannin, 2 tsp Tartaric acid, 4kg granulated sugar. Youngs white bordeaux yeast, yeast nutrient. Dissolve the sugar in about 2lt water. I usually add about 2 tsp lemon juice to this. I also mix the tannin powder in with the dry sugar. Add all the other ingredients into a suitable FV, add the dissolved sugar and top up to 25 lt with tap water. Leave to ferment for 10-14 days. OG should be around 1.085. Fg around .990. To make this into a rosé just substitute 3 WGJ with RGJ. 28-29 bottles of White or Rosé for about 40p a bottle and the inlaws will think you paid £5.

Kit wise I'd look in tesco or wilkinsons and try one of their 6 bottle kit rather than splash out on p+p from an online homebrew shop. The quality wont be quite as good as most of the more expensive kits but should be well drinkable and ideal first step to wine. Personally, I enjoy the solomon grundy platinum edition pinot grigio. As good as any budget bottle from the supermarket. Now on the look out for a good sauv blanc. Im on the verge of purchasing 'bag in the box' as will, which will eliminate the need for bottles.

Thanks for the replies.
I'm more bothered that it tastes as good as possible than the slight cost increase of buying online. Don't really fancy making 28-29 bottles for my first batch so I might just try bobsbeer recipe but cut it down a fair bit!
