Cider for xmas

Post by kirky80 » Thu May 02, 2013 4:48 pm

Hi all,
I have never brewed cider at all, but I was thinking it might be quite nice to do a sort of spiced/mulled cider for Xmas, I am asking now as I don't know how long it takes to mature etc. I was thinking about doing 23ltrs of it in a coopers fv, is this do-able or does it need to be done in demijohns? Also can I use the asda apple juice? If anyone has any ideas or experience in doing this I'd be interested to hear them, as I said I am a complete beginner with cider!

Basically I was thinking 23ltrs of apple juice, maybe a mulled wine t-bag, possibly some sugar and a yeast, haven't got a clue what yeast or any other quantities so any help would be appreciated.

Thank in advance
Cheers!

Kirky,
Don`t know if that will show, but look in `Turbo cider recipes methods and taste collection`. If not, Google the sentence in commas and it will take you to the site!
