I'd say it was more likely a PEBKAC error than a problem with the server.

Normally I'd agree with you MM, but
it's a known problem. Looks like it's getting worse, as I got a "Could not connect to database" error page about 15 minutes ago.

Yes but its not the server causing the double post, it is clicking submit again when the blank page error occurs.

Yes, sorry about the variable forum performance chaps. The admin team are aware of the problems you're encountering and want to change things for the better. Hopefully we'll be able to start that task soon and so if you can bear the pain for a while longer then we'd appreciate that.

If there's a forum upgrade in the offing you might want to go for the latest standard of phpBB, I believe it's way more secure than the last one.
