Turnips in Cider

Post by Jambo » Sat Apr 26, 2014 8:38 am

Credit to Tom Kerridge for this one...

Chop up some turnips into 1cm ish cubes. Fry in butter until they take some colour, pour in a decent lug of cider and reduce to almost nothing, add a drop of cider vinegar also. Make sure they're cooked and chuck in some thyme.

If your cider is a bit on the rough side, as some of mine is, this is a great use of it! Proper lush.

I wish I'd had that recipe when I had my turbo cider on the go - it was rank!
