http://www.uleybrewery.com/ - Pig's Ear and Old Spot were particular favorites when I lived in their Gloucestershire stamping patch... :D

I was working at Skegness, Lincolnshire yesterday & whilst driving up towards Skeggy, I noticed almost all the pubs I passed were Batemans Brewery pubs.

http://www.bateman.co.uk/HomeF.htm

I'd not heard of Batemans before, but from their website, they look like a fantastic family run brewery. I even went right by where the brewery is in Wainfleet, but unfortunately I didn't have time to visit or sample any of their brews.

Has anyone tried their brews, are they as good as they sound. Although I then had a 160 mile journey home from work last night, I almost fancy another trip there, just to hopefuly find time to visit Batemans.

As this seems to be a popular source for yeast....

RR, I have had their bottled XXXB on a number of occasions from Asda, and I think I may have had their Victory Ale once. Nice beer, can't re-use the bottles very easily because of the dodgy neck unless you have a desk capper.

I've got a recipe for XXXB, (I think it may be in the recipe section actually)

Makers of the fine Hemlock, the best elderflower ale I've ever tasted(although not listed on their site)
