Are there any wild hop locations in England?

Cheers

Quite a few near me. I snuck out last night and liberated 4 roots from a hedge. They are a pig to dig up but I have planted them along my chicken run fence which is 6ft tall, so hopefully I may get a few more free hops this year.

A quick Google confirms that Sussex (particularly on The Weald) was a major hop growing area in the past, so I am sure you should be able to find "wild hops" in/close to your area. Unless you have access to some local knowledge, they are going to be easier to spot in August/September when they come into flower.

If you are serious about growing hops at home I would recommend getting hold of (i.e. buying) a known cultivar. Be warned they can take up quite a lot of space:
