I have a hand-cobbled cheapy brew set up with a 23L electrim bin (inherited), tun made from a coolbox, cooler made from a hosepipe onto some copper tubing, etc etc. It all works perfectly well BUT I want to make more beer in each brew – ie move up to +50L.
If I am going to do this I had just as well go to shiny kit and spend a bit of cash - and set up something a bit more permanent than I have now – with a pump to take the wort back up etc. Maybe even move away from the conventional current set up I have and go recirculating.
Where can I get the kit – who would you recommend?
Finished kit is good but I also have no problem with fabricating gear once I have the basic shiny stuff (or speaking very nicely to a n other).
Upgrading my kit - advice please!!
Re: Upgrading my kit - advice please!!
I'm currently in the process of building some new shiny kit, bought some of the 100 litre stockpots from Nordic Optical, has taken me a couple of weeks working on it on and off, but I'm trying to get as automated as possible using BrewTroller which is proving to be as fun as actually brewing / drinking the beer.
Vossy put together some decent instructions for converting the 100 litre pots. Picked up a pump from ebay.
