TTL, not clearing and still undecided if its ok?

Post by escapizm » Sat Oct 17, 2009 8:04 pm

This TTL has been my worst so far, the wort would not clear, it looked odd in the boiler the day after a night cooling as ive no IC working yet. Ive just moved from the C02 conditioing room to the garage and decided to grab one for early sample.

It pouerd out with good carbonation but was so cloudy :( i tasted it and it tasted... well ... like green beer. If it was "off" would it be like drinking sarsons?

Can i expect it to clear in 6-8 weeks? Normally by this stage at least the top 1/2" off the bottle would look clear but this doesn't.

Thanks

Time is a great healer, especially where beer is concerned. If it tastes like green beer then chances are that its not infected and you just have cloudy beer at this stage as a result of not having proper cooling thus preventing a decent cold break.
