Here's mine. One of my favorite beers to kick back and enjoy with friends on a rainy, wet, Saturday afternoon. Easy to consume 8 pints and have enough in the tank left for a beautiful whisky. If I wasn't brewing a Porter here shortly, I'd brew this.

78.7% 2-row pale
9.8% Crystal 55L
4.9% Crystal 120L
2.5% Chocolate Malt
2.5% Brown
2.5% Roast
1.6% Black Malt
small amount of wheat for head retention
40g fuggles @ 60 minutes. Dry hop with 50g for a week.

Although it is still on my to do list, I hear that the Sarah Hughes Ruby Mild is a good one from the GW British Beers book.

It's also serious falling down water ;)

Plenty of good recipes in GWs book (including that one)

My house mild as an AG would be

3.5kg Pale malt
250g crystal malt
90g black malt
40g fuggles for 60 minutes

for a 23L brew length @ 75% efficiency
Best wishes

My most recent mild was:

85% pale
10% crystal
5% chocolate

Fuggles and Goldings hops to 25 IBU

It matured fast and went down lubbly.

I've never used Mild malt. In fact I'm not sure I've ever seen any...

Whorst, that looks a great pint (making me thirsty) :D
What was the volume to use 40g of hops for?

Thanks, it's a ghost from the past. I really need to brew it again.

Regarding the volume, 5.5 US gallons, or a little over 18L.

Mmm, looks nice, nice and simple. What gravity are you looking at for this?

I've brewed the Thwaites Mild out of Graham Wheelers book a number of times. It's a very nice pint.
