quick question about flaked grains

should I crush/grind my flaked barley for mashing? I really need this answer quick because I'm in the middle of the process :)

if you bought it from a home brew shop then chuck it straight in

no I bought it in the supermarket, it's a barley flake for healthy breakfast :) It's pure barley, no additives.....

as long as its not a whole grain it should be fine. ie, should be ready crushed or flattened
