rasing mash temp

has anyone tried to raise the mash temp using steam as suggested in this article

I think it would be a good idea to try and jsut wondered if anyone has ever done this on this forum , so I can an idea of how well it works and any pitfalls

I have not tried this myself, however it does look interesting....I can imagine that you could hook a controller up to this and utilize a solenoid valve to control the flow of steam. It looks like a quirky project. :boff:

If you use a wallpaper stripper you don't have to butcher a pressure cooker with the danger that entails.
