priming/grams? Ales,Bitters,lagars,stouts

so whats the best amout of sugar for priming these beers? in grams for 22-23 litres, typical newbe question i no

Hi Jonny - Welcome!

Cant answer for the Lager question (think it might be a good bit higher) but as a rule of thumb, for 19L final beer I'll normally add 70g invert sugar made up into a syrup with boiling watern ,and then cooled before bottling. I normally add half the liquid to the bottling bucket, then the other half when it's 3/4 full, and then stir very gently to get an even mix, but to avoid getting oxygen into the beer.

No problems so far... no bottle bombs, and never had either a flat, or overly carbonated pint Although nothing has ever come into condition in under a month... that includes sitting in the secondary for a month beforehand...

I am quite typical of what most use (I think)
Assume 23L brew

Ale................80g

Lager/cider......120g to 160g depending how fizzy you want (I go about 150g)

One carbonation drop per 500ml bottle works everytime for me.
