Diacetyl Rest for Wyeast 1187

Diacetyl Rest for Wyeast 1187

I notice that Wyeast recommend a Diacetyl rest for 1187. How would you do this for a Bitter?? I know how for a Larger.

I've always just left the beer for 3 days in the FV once the final gravity has been reached.

Yep that's similar to me. I like this yeast and I'm also not averse to the flavour imparted by diacetyl. I prefer a slightly higher fermentation temperature of 21-22c and when the fg is reached drop this to 15-16c. You can take samples until the flavour is to your liking. Normally after 2-3 days I rack to a keg.
