It all started a bit pare-shaped when a i went to collect a couple of cretes of emptys from a mate who won the beer i donated to a charity auction. He said in an e-mail a few of the bottles got binned at the do he took them to, fair enought i thought, no bggie. When i got to his there were only 12 of my 'best' bottles left

Then I want about cleaning a cornie for my Dunkel, after-which i noticed the output gauge on the gas bottle was playing up- i'm guessing in went screwy beacuse of the heat in the shed recently.
I got the beer out of the fermenting fridge and proceded to take a hydro sample and a quick taste to be met with a distinct taste of vinegar

Then when puting the gas bottle back in the shed it fell over on the gravel in the gardeden and smashed the bottle pressure guage

And I'm down to my last dozen or so bottles of Something Wheaty' and no time to brew in the next couple of weeks! Hopefully the elderflower champers come out Ok

That feels better!
Cheers,
Jamie
