Ive been brewing Ag using 3v setup for a couple of years now and have recentley been reading the BIAB forum with great interest, my question goes out to other 3V brewers on this forum, what are the real downsides??
Ive asked it here as I feel the other forum's thread is trying to convince me with all the pro's, I would like to know what the real benefits of the 3V system are over the BIAB (not too bothered about scalability)
As far as I can see with BIAB you just need the one vessel, cleaning will be less, possible reduction in time and efficancy seem par or better to what I am getting at the moment?
I'm going to be building a new 50ltr shiny boiler so will give it a try anyway but can anyone advise on reasons to stick with the 3V system?
Many thanks
BIAB Question to 3V Brewers
Re: BIAB Question to 3V Brewers
having read a few forums else where AUS and US,...
there are many biab beers, that have won awards over 3v brews,
and in blind tests, many experienced 3v brewers couldnt tell any difference in the end product,...

Re: BIAB Question to 3V Brewers
Interesting, I think its a route I will have to try and see for myself, it will definatley be a plus when coming to cleaning/tidying up.
