I think some "1" did mention it before, but now he's an "X 1" ...........that wasn't bad taste was it? I think he would see the humour
Where's he gone then?

Boingy, where did you get your water analysis done and how much did it cost? I was quoted ~£100 by Brewlab.

Oh my god!

Thanks Boingy, but I am only a few weeks behind, not months :D Not sure how I missed all that as I use the forum quite a lot.

What a big loss of knowledge and experience to the forums. He seemed only second to G.W in terms of quality advice (I don't want to start any debates on this statement - just opinion) I never had any issues with him and he really helped me one time by finding me a water testing kit in a local shop (he lives near me). Damn it.

I went straight in and treated my water from my 2nd AG (I'm only on to number 4  ) so I don't really have a reliable comparison. But I do know that my 1st AG never cleared and an unpolished taste, if that makes sense?

My efficiency is averaging 77%. They could be higher but I am having some teething problems with my sparge arm etc. What I have noticed though, my beers drop bright within about 2 weeks without finings.

I'm no water wizard but all I do is treat all liqour with campden tablets, CRS and 1 tsp of Gypsum into the mash 1 into the boiler based on a 5 gallon batch
