The Barley Crusher Hoppers are not flat packed, and the 15 lb hopper is a bit large . . . It does unscrew from the rollers though which would make it easier to pack . . . clothes could go inside it . . . and you could remove the rollers from the baseboard just as easily. . .. can't say that it is too heavy either certainly less than 5 Kg ( I think . .. I've never weighed it)

Thanks Aleman. I actually went with the basic crankandstein in the end, without the hopper, as will make one easy enough. As I am picking it up, it cost approx £60.

Aleman just conjoured up visions of you attaching a strap to a hopper and claiming it's a suitcase...

Just ordered a Barley Crusher. Since I've got a shower pump sitting in the garage, I was wondering about motorising it. Can anyone suggest a good supllier of sheaves/pulleys/belts?
