How to get a dry cherry flavour?

Enjoyed Dunham Massey Chocolate Cherry Mild at the Leeds Beer Festival at the weekend. Not the best beer there or one I'd want to drink a lot of but I was wondering how you'd get that aroma and (hint of) dry cherry taste through the beer. Would it just be a flavouring?

In the past, I've noticed a cherry flavour / aroma when using WLP013 - Worthington's Whiteshield yeast.

Most HB Shops sell Wine flavourings and Cherry is one. May be this is how they do it.
