Dry Hopping - how late can you do it?

Post by Tattie bogle » Sun Apr 17, 2011 9:10 pm

Hello,

I have a couple of brews drinking/conditioning which I feel are lacking some hop flavours. I have had one in the keg for 3 weeks now conditioning, at first the taste was bang on, now its a nice enough pint but I wish it still had the initial hop flavours. Is it too late to chuck in a handful of hops to bring it back to life?

Cheers

You need to give the hops a chance to offer up their talents. A week in the FV would probably give enough aroma and flavour (dependant on the particular hop).

Or you coulld add a late hop tea. But this would dilute the beer, by the relevant amount of fluid added.
I buy from The Malt Miller
