I'm still in the process of my all grain equipment build and when I come to do my first test runs I want to use up some short dated Maris Otter I have been given so that I'm not wasting good ingredients initially if things go pear shaped and I wondered if anyone had a recipe that was for a 25L brewlength and just used Maris Otter and any old hops like fuggles or goldings etc.
Cheers Steve

Steve,
Graham Wheeler's (BYOBRA) recipe for Tim Taylor Landlord is almost all pale malt he adds a little black malt for colour but you could ignore that. He uses goldings and styrian goldings but I've done it with just goldings - it didn't taste the same as TTL but it was still good beer.

There's also Bath Ales Golden Hare, which is just MO and East Kent Goldings. I made an attempt to copy it recently, but ended up putting in a small amount of Crystal as well; tastes great, so I'll send you the recipe if you want it.
