How long will it last?

Iv run out of gas on a barrell....there is a week left of beer in there, and a good foot of (now, unfortunately unpressureised CO2). This has never happened before.. Will it last a week if i just crack the lid every time I pull a pint to let the air in?

It will last a day or two at best, depending how much air gets in, then start to taste like wet cardboard.

I would get a small amount of sugar ready and quickly open the barrel and ditch the sugar in and re-seal the barrel and leave for a week to re-prime. I have done this without any undesired effects. The beer will probably be cloudy for a day or two as you will no doubt need to disturb the sediment a bit to get the yeast roused but you may be able to get away without doing that. I can normally start drinking again after two days but it does depend on how old the beer is as to how much viable yeast is present.
