Hi all,
After 3 successful AG brews I can't wait to get onto number 4! I'm a big fan of dark Belgian ales. There is a wealth of recipe ideas on the forum but many don't follow up with tastings of the final product. I have a couple of questions:
- Are strong ales more demanding to brew than traditional british ales?
- Does anyone have any guidance on making a large enough starter for a stronger ale?
- Does anyone have a successful recipe which a new to AG brewer can cope with?
Thanks for any help!
Dan

I would highly recommend this book if you're looking to make Belgian styles: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Brew-Like-Monk- ... 093738187X
It's got loads of good information and recipes for beers you're probably familiar with, and it's not too technical for a new brewer.
