Hi guys.
I'm now in to my 7th AG brews, mostly PAs and IPAs. I bottle and leave them in my dining room to clear. After about a week or so they are perfectly shiny and definitely pass the feck test. But a week or two later they seem to develop a very slight haze.
I could understand it if: 1 - it was hazy from the start and never cleared or 2 - I was chilling them and got a protein haze but: clear and then not?
Any idea what's happening?
Thanks

Do the beers change in taste?
Do you dry hop?
Is there any non yeast sediment getting in to the bottles?
It'll be one of two reasons.... a biological or an on going chemical reaction

No change in taste apart from what I'd expect from the conditioning process. I had thought maybe another organism may have got in there - but I'm not getting "those flavours"
No other sediments that I can see - the yeast at the bottom of the bottle looks creamy and uniform.
I don't dry-hop.

Odd.... are they very clean bottles?
Re: Haze developing in bottled after 2-3 weeks
i get this sometimes but it,s not cloudy when it,s pourd it,s a thin film on the inside of the bottle. i thought it was just yeast that had stuck on the walls of the bottle from the priming sugar

Bottles meticulously clean, 24 hour soak in VWP, rinsed in hot water then 1 minute soak in Starsan before no-rinse draining. And it is the beer, it's slightly hazy when poured.
BUT, it does taste great.
Thanks for your replies guys.

Other than the causes already mentioned the only thing I can thinkof is 'Chill haze'...
What temps do you store the bottles at? maybe its related to the recent cold weather if your ambient storage is cooler recently?
Just a thought...
I'm happy to drink hazy beer if I know it tastes/smells ok...

Yours seems to meet this criteria!

Thanks Manx Guy. It certainly looks like it, although the bottles haven't been chilled yet and they are all in my dining room at standard house temps carbing.
I'll have to bite the bullet and make myself some sort of chiller and see if I can't precipitate more cold break.
And yes, Mrs BeerEagle and I are more than happy drinking it. It just makes me feel a bit of a failure when I used to offer my mates perfectly clear kit beers.
