I reckon that order looks bang on malt wise.

Some beers like Summer Lighting don't have any Crystal/Caramalt in them. A rich beer like fullers ESB will be about 10% Crystal, otherwise 5% is a regular amount. Pale beers are often 0% Crystal.

As for Hops i'd drop the WGV and replace with some Cascade. You should definately try brewing a Seirra Nevada Clone, I'm yet to meet anyone who doesn't like it.

But i say the order looks bang on. Go for it! your never look back!
I am not a Beer expert.....thats exactly the point.

Yep good advice, and if that's the type of pale beer you like don't stock up on caramel/crystal malts.
Thanks for the reply Scooby. Does Caramalt not give a light / golden coloured beer?
Should I not be using say upto 10% for Caramalt to ensure Body etc?
I am asking because I really don't know
As has been mentioned the beers you like have little or no caramel/crystal in them. You say you like the ABV to be on the higher side,
so if you make an all pale malt brew that's about the hop favour and bitterness and it's over 5% it should have enough body so why would you want
to add colour?

There is a case to use small amounts of the light caramel malts to add body to lower ABV beers, but they are mainly used to produce
brown beers that taste of caramel, toffee, and raisins where the hop flavour is non-existent. They have little place in something like Hophead,
American Pale Ale, Revelation, Jaipur, Kipling, JPA, Punk IPA................

I use nothing darker than Caramalt which is about 30EBC, lighter Munich malts 20EBC and very occasionally small amounts of Light crystal at 60EBC
I like hop flavours and bitterness over malty toffee, not that there is anything wrong with the more traditional bitter, I just don't go out of my way to drink
it so don't brew it.

Forgive me for stating the bleedin' obvious but why not work out the recipes for your first 4 or 5 brews now?
Then you'd know exactly what you need to buy...

And welcome along to the wonderful world of All Grain brewing by the way! Ha!

Having said that, I agree with Boingy, its great that you are buying in bulk, but it would be fairly sensible to have a sit down think about the kind of recipes you would like to create/clone and then buy the required. You say you like a Jaipur, it says Nelson Sauvin hops on the label...I would be thinking I'm gonna get me some NS...

Good luck though!

Kipling = NS
Jaipur = Ahtanum, Chinook and Centennial

But they are right, get a few recipes you may like and buy the appropriate ingredients but with all the wonderful hops
to choose from please don't use target hops

I don't get much opportunity to receive mail orders, so when I actually can place an order it tends to be quite a large one, which sounds similar to what you're about to do.

Its very good advice to plan the recipies you'd like to do up front; I know from my own enthusiasms in the past that if you just get a load of exciting or suitable sounding stuff you'll end up still not having quite what you need and yet also have ageing stock untouched in the store cupboard - which can negate savings from bulk buys. I originally thought it would help me experiment to have a wider stock, and I guess it does 'slightly' so theres no harm in having a few likely extras, but in practice I've still never got what I want to experiment with when the occasion arises.

Also don't overdo it - grain is bulky but reasonably tollerant of being stored if you can keep it well, but hops lose their potency even in vacuum sealed packs in the freezer so I like to order those more frequently. Yeast is okay if its dried (not if its liquid) but still try to get it from somewhere thats likely to keep it well and have a high turnover. And maybe also consider things like cleaners/sterilisers if you use ready-made homebrew ones - bigger packs can be considerably cheaper than buying little pots of youngs/richies/etc from the local homebrew shop.

Its not quite what you asked but if you like floural hoppy pales then one of my favourites that you could consider is Steve Flacks IPA/APA recipe here; it always seems to go down well with friends too.

Cheers
