gravitey vs sugar

Post by beer gut » Tue May 15, 2012 7:18 pm

Hi everyone i have a question about using brown sugar in brewing? I have a nagging problem that i would like a little help with and that is? Is there a calculation i could use that could tell me how much gravitey i will get with the amount of sugar i add to the hot wort? ie how much gravity would i get if i add 500g of sugar to 4 gall of wort.
