When I took a sample of my latest brew to check the gravity last night it was really cloudy. I forgot to add the protofloc tablet to the boiler.
I think I have two options:
1. Bottle it and wait for it to clear. Does anyone know how long it might take to clear?
2. Use finings. I have some Kwik Klear finings, but they went out of date last October. I aways prime my beer, but If I rack and fine it, will I end up with clear but flat beer because all the yeast will have been dragged out of suspension too? As the date is 'Best Before End' and the bottles have been opened, are they likely to have 'gone off' and is there any way to tell?
Thanks for reading.

Re: Protofloc/Finings Question
Hi
When did you brew it? Is it in a controlled temp enviroment?

Re: Protofloc/Finings Question
Thanks for the reply. It's been at room temperature, but will be stored in the cellar after a few days initial conditioning at room temperature.
Re: Protofloc/Finings Question
itll probably drop if you leave it long enough, when i first started ag i never used protofloc i used irish moss which is about 20% as efficient as processed carageen id have a fair old whack of haze for the first few weeks itd dropp out ive brewed a few times with none at all and its still cleared , ime give it a month or two and itll sort itself out but be careful about disturbing it consequentially
