Dilution advice needed

Post by barney » Sat Sep 29, 2012 10:35 am

I have missed my pre boil volume, it should have been 53ltr but I only achieved 50ltr.

My OG was supposed to be 1056 but is actually 1066, my efficiency is up from 75% to 82%.

My question is this, should I dilute with water now or at the end of the boil?

I would rather dilute now, then the water addition at least has had a good boil.

What do you think?

Hi barney
If you boiler is big enough, I'd add during the boil.

I would add to the boil, so that you are treating your boil volume as before; not to mention your point on boiling all water.
