help disaster

had a brew day today all went well. put cooling coil in, and popped to shops. when got back the pipe had
split and dumped about 1/2 gallon water into boiler. however it is still giving me a sg of 1.046 (target 1.045).
should i leave as is and carry on fermenting, or boil up again to reduce volume/increase sg.

Hi jon. Sorry to hear of your prob. I'd be tempted to boil for at least another 15 mins.

Cheers, dave

Similar thing happened to me once. I just carried on as normal and the beer was excellent.

Thing about reboiling is it will bugger up your hopping.
