standard brewing mixes?

I've been thinking today,

What are a standard base mix for each type of drink.
Such as grain bill, yeasts and hops

For example

Stouts
Porter
IPA
Brown Ale
Ectttt..... the list goes on

I'm loooking at brewing my own, but adapting them to my taste.

Any advice would be great
