Bottles

Post by darkonnis » Fri Aug 23, 2013 5:28 pm

Hello chaps,
I'm doing a couple of brews for a mates weddings and I need a 500 * 330ml bottles a couple of times over the next few months (If i had more space I'd just get a pallet). I had planned on using Ampulla but the added £70 delivery charge pretty much doubles the price.
Anyone know of any other suppliers which are a bit closer to middlesbrough or don't have quite so high a delivery charge.
Cheers,
Cooky

The Bristol Bottle Company sell these bottles in boxes of 40 and would charge £41 for delivery. A box is £11.64 but they will give a competitive quote for 5 boxes or over - might be worth a try...

Thanks for heads up mate, looks like a good find and with competitive pricing at over 5 boxes it'll probably work out loads cheaper!

Why not try a few of your local boozers ?
they won't be a uniform size/colour but you might get the amount you want for nothing.
i'm not sure what their policy on empty bottles is, if they return them or not, but it's gotta be worth a try.

I’ve just placed a second order with this company http://www.world-of-bottles.co.uk/shop/ ... einie.html

They’re based in Germany but they are cheap and I had no problems with the delivery last time. The Swing top bottles save ages when bottling.

Cheers, Simon
