So... Bottling/Re-Priming Kegged Brew

Post by Clobber » Thu Nov 21, 2013 12:07 pm

I've got a trip to India coming up so I prepared a list of where my brews are conditioning/fermenting/next to brew etc... so that whilst I am away I can use my equipment to it's best potential. i.e. when I go there is something just into ferment, something just into condition etc, etc...

During this exercise I realise I ought to free a small keg up, this is a 10 litre pressure barrel which currently has around 7 litres of a fairly bodged recipe in it. It has been primed and in the warm for 4 days now, about to be out into the shed for conditioning.

Would it be ok to just release the top cap and bottle it? Would I need to prime the bottles?

Or would this whole operation ruin the beer?

Hi Clobber
If you are only refering to the line above, Then I would just release the cap, bottle and prime. Keep them warm for a week.

Thanks Norm, should I use less sugar as I'm priming for a second time?
