Best Bitter is exactly what I would've said. Sounds delicious, by the way. I bet that treacle contributed some nice rummy and fruity notes, eh?

Is there something about the finished beer which makes you think it wouldn't fit?

Still sounds tasty and true-to-style to me. With a little twist, but not a fault by any means. Nice work, thanks for sharing.

What do you think of those Crusader hops, compared/contrasted to other varieties?

Are you submitting it to a contest?

only my second time using them.I think they are great for aroma and give a nice subtle flavour, they were added complement the treacle with there sweetnes?
I think there are comparable with most common English aroma hops expect they have a little less bit to them.

Have you tried them?

I think you're right to use less treacle next time. Sounds a bit dark for a bitter to me with 450g.
Best wishes

Dave
