Remash recipe

Regards strike temp...I think I will put in at a mashout temp say 78°,then mix,wait until about 68°,then add new grain. Hopefully be about right. I don't have much science about this experiment! !

Well finally did this. A few thoughts
The method needs refinement. I didnt mash out the main batch,just pulled the bag and let drip,resulting finally after topping up to pre boil volume in 1038 sg in fermenter. Ok i guess, around 65% efficiency
What this meant was that the remash gained more fermentables than i anticipated.
Also i added three litres of main batch excess run off, i overdone / overedtimated the boil off rate
Mini batch otetty much ad recipe. Ten litrrs finalky at1052
