5 or 10 litre brewery kit?
Has anyone built or have any ideas of the kit I could or should use to create a 5 or 10 litre micro, micro home brewery. I normally brew 19 or 21 litre brews but I'd like to be able to make smaller batches of new beers?
If anyone has any thoughts that would be great, I'm also keen to build some new stuff!
Thanks in advance

Im in the middle of building something similar, using an 11 litre stock pot with a 2kw element for the HLT,12 litre wilkos stock pot with a false bottom in box filled with expanding foam for the mash tun and a 20 litre burco for the boiler

How about BIAB with a 15litre stock pot. Using your kitchen hob. Couldn't be simpler!

I was previously brewing BIAB to between 5 and 10 litres into fermenter using a 19 litre stock pot and a cheap Ritchies mashing bag.
Ingredients: Water, Barley, Hops, Yeast, Seaweed, Blood, Sweat, The swim bladder of a sturgeon, My enemies tears, Scenes of mild peril, An otter's handbag and Riboflavin.

Massive brewery has gone by the looks of it otherwise that would have been a good start I think
Other than that BIAB seems to be a popular option that I may look at especially to simplify the kit

He provides everything to do small scale BIAB.

Re: 5 or 10 litre brewery kit?
Hi I made a 5 litre/ 1 gallon microbrewery from three stainless steel pots, 2 of the pots were £10:00 each and 1 I already had. I bought stainless steel taps, tubing, false bottom, connectors etc from Angel Home Brew. I was amazed at how easy it was to make your own microbrewery for very little money, when you can spend a fortune on ready made versions. Most of them are from 25 litres upwards. I have photo's of my favourite brews if you are interested although I am not sure how to upload them.
Cheers for now

A 19 litre Burco with a 14 litre stockpot and you have the shiny bits of a 1/2 size GrainFather.

Hi Again
Apologies they are all one at a time.
They show the mash tun and liqour holding tank, the sparging went well and the wort was clear at the end.

That would, be good to see and perhaps for me to use as a template to scale down?Pinto wrote:Prototyping a compact 15L three vessel kit at the moment - if it works well I may make a few up for sale - watch this space..
