5Lt kegs
5Lt kegs
Going to make a small batch (around 11Lt) to test a recipe. just purchased a couple of 5Lt kegs, just with tap and bung. going to use these for the secondary as they are eaisier to move and store.
Anyone got any experience or tips on using these?

Re: 5Lt kegs
If you’re meaning the same types as you can buy commercial beer in, then I have used these before 9re-used commercial ones). Only use a small amount of priming sugar; c. 10g is plenty.

Re: 5Lt kegs
You'd be better off with these bungs: https://darkrockbrewing.co.uk/product/s ... -mini-keg/ . Shop around though, that was the first site that came up on the search.
The ones in your picture look like the type that are nigh on impossible to remove once in.

Re: 5Lt kegs
I have a few of those from when I used to re-use 5L mini kegs. You can have them for the cost of the postage.
