Sorry to have flooded the site. My own stupidity. I found out why I had lost so much sugar so yes dumb a@# data.

Update on this one.

I kegged this on Friday after a painfully slow secondary fermentation. Flavour is average and lacking a bit of body but the ale is murky as hell. I'll give it a month to see if it clears but I suspect I will end up fining it. It will be drinkable but not my finest effort methinks.

Another update.
This was showing no signs of clearing so I chucked in some finings last week. They have helped a bit but but the appearance is definitely more wheat beer than best bitter. Flavour is not really developing. I might be able to detect the slightest hint of vinegar in the aftertaste but that might just be my paranoia. It's drinkable so I shall drink it and I shall look forward to putting something better in the cornie afterwards.

As an aside, I have just kegged my 8 gallon batch of Irish Red. Hell yeah! Great taste, great appearance. Don'cha just love this hobby?

Hehe - good to see it's working. My day has been full of failures: under reading electronic scales (I assume batteries), stuck mash, then my boiler heating element packed up :( Still the beer survived..
