Thiniing about it you always have the no sparge method too.

make your recipe and add around 35 % grain to the bill. Mash as normal ( same grist/water ration) take OG of runnings, then dilute to desired OG.

It means you save the time of the sparge and the runnoffs can be on the heat whilst you dilute down.

For short brew lengths this has to be a lot faster i would think.
I shall be attempting this in not too long.

maybe its of no use to many but there are a good few who use this method to good effect.
