Dry hop or not dry hop

i work with stainless steel wire 6mm in dia ive made what looks like a big coil spring about 4inches in dia ive put this inside a jelly bag and tied the top. the wieght of the stainless makes it sink to the bottom going to try it out on my next brew.i also got a sheet of a4 size stainless from a motor bike shop for a fiver tried to make a tube thingy out of it but that went a bit fubar
