Completely different scale but I have only just got round to a calibrated thermometer, on the up side my old one was only .3 out and the calibrated one has a margin of .4, what surprises me is that your temp controllers, in a commercial setting, could be so far out, is it not possible to get them calibration certificated?
they were! suprised me too tbh, thats why id stupidly discounted it as a possibility,(eventually i put a probe in a boiling kettle and it read 98.3! my new calibrated 200 squid kane may thermometer read 100.3  anyway no real harm done.last one was more troublesome, an entire 75 litres of duff finings that was only spotted 30litres in #-o luckily some customers are more understanding than others, and left some of em an extra couple of days and they cleared ok . hate it when theres a process error that should have been picked up but has been overlooked by less than diligent staff!
